I’m the founder of Camio, where we build computer vision software that watches video in real time and reports what actually matters — policy deviations, safety issues, events worth a person’s attention — so that nobody has to sit and review hours of footage to find them.
Before Camio I was a Director of Product Management at Google, working on Local Search, Google Maps, and Google Earth. Earlier I was Director of Technical Evangelism at Microsoft, and Director of Product Management at Inktomi. I studied electrical engineering and computer science at Princeton.
I write here about technology, products, AI, and whatever else I have been thinking about long enough to want to write down. Essays live on this site permanently, at URLs that should not change.
